The grant is for those who are already receiving other SASSA grants, but require a full-time caretaker as they can not take care of themselves. This additional payment will allow them to hire a caretaker so they can live in peace.

SASSA Grant-in-aid Application Follow these steps to apply for a Grant-in-aid: Step 1: Find the nearest SASSA office Look for the closest SASSA office in your area. You can search on Google Maps. Type “SASSA office near me” and check the location and working hours.

Make sure the office is open before you go. Step 2: Visit the SASSA office After finding the office, go there in person. You must apply in person.

You cannot apply online or by phone. Step 3: Prepare your documents You need to bring some important documents. No, you cannot get both. Grant-in-Aid is only for those getting Disability, Older Persons’, or War Veterans grants.
